🏅HACC Team Of The Year🏅

Sam Samarasekera led the club with 692 League/Cup runs including 8 half centuries. Club Chairman Chris Martin rolled back the years to finish second on the list with 533 runs.

The top 6 also includes 1s VC Alfie Horan, opener Phillip Goldstone and Brad Byford and Dave Rai who made valuable contributions for both 1s and 2s during the season (see Week 18 Vs Leigh On Sea for more Info 🤩)

1st Team spin twins Dhanuka De Silva and Paul Humphries combined for 85 wickets, which amazingly less than the 95 from 2024. Club Captain Nathan Duke also added 33 wickets - with the efforts of the three playing a crucial role in the 1st Teams Promotion winning season.

The bowling is rounded off with 31 from 5s Captain Keith Hurford and 28 from U15 Liam Whitaker.

Well done to our U11 girls who are now U11 Essex Central District Cup winners!!! 🏆✨

For the Boys - Also in the 5th XI Game, Zakee Mirza hit his highest adult score for the club with a quickfire, unbeaten 66

Another 12 Players make the Team of The Week - whilst still some good performances unfortunately miss out

Adult Player of The Week goes to Club Chairman Chris Martin, who narrowly missed out on a century for the second week in a row with 85 against Billericay.

For the Boys - Ayaan Afreedi produced a good opening spell Vs Gidea Park & Romford. This spell helped set the tone for team.

The Girls winner was Anya Patel who scored 29 for the Girls u15 Vs Galleywood.

A quick post to celebrate some of our girls who have represented Essex Central district this week. Well done girls, reward for all your hard work is paying off.

For the Boys - Jqck Wards hard work paid off as he picked up 3 wickets vs Goresbrook.

Due to last weeks washout - double awards this week.

Ben Poch narrowly missed out on a century for the 3s Vs Benfleet, agonisingly snicking one behind on 99!

Mitch Huett had a great weekend with a high score of 49 on Saturday for the 6th XI and then bettering that on Sunday with a maiden 50, scoring 56 against Forest Gate Lions

Lewis O’Keefe continued his strong performances for the Boys U9 team contributing with runs, wickets and wicket keeping in wins over Upminster, Harold Wood and Orsett and Thurrock.

Likewise for the U11 Ollie Thomas continued to leas the side well and his last pair partnership with Swayam bought the team back into the game Vs Hutton.

Mahi Dosa had a string performance for the Girls U12 on Friday Vs Brentwood - with 2/12.

Aanya Mediratta also had a great week for the Boys U9 Teams with 26 vs Upminster as well as wickets in the game Vs Upminster.

All women welcome for an evening of softball cricket! No experience necessary- give women’s cricket a go in a friendly, fun environment. The BBQ will be fired up, music playing and a free glass of Prosecco will be given to each player. 🎵🍔

2nd Team Captain Brad Byford scored his first century for HACC with 109 against Harlow Town.

Taylor Sapsford took two catches and a run out Vs Upminster. A result of some of some hard work on his wicket keeping.

Becky King scored 15* in the HACC Women’s Hardball Team first ever game against Benfleet.

Well done to this incredible bunch, victorious in the semi-final of the CECPG U11 girls’ hardball cup, progressing to the final! 💥

Dave Rai scored 115 for the 2nd Team in their total of 297 Vs Hawks, which despite taking around 15 wickets was only good enough for a draw.

U13 Rohan Shah picked up his first senior wicket and bowled an excellent spell against Theydon Bois for the Sunday XI. He finished with figures of 8/0/42/1

Mia Chandara was the pick of the girls this week scoring 21 and taking 2 wickets Vs Harold Wood

Lewis Byford produced a great spell of bowling, taking 5/40 as the 2s recorded a narrow victory over Goresbrook. Lewis also took two key catches in the match.

Liam Whitaker scored his first Senior 50 on Sunday with 54 Vs South Woodford. He also picked up 2 wickets on Saturday Vs Upminster.

For the Girls - Rose Duke was a key performer as a young U9 Team participated in the Harold Wood U9 Festival.
